Don't be a button cell doofus.
I'm talking about those tiny little batteries you need for various items like kid toys, laser pointers, etc. They look like this:
If you go to Target or Walmart or the hardware store to find these batteries you'll pay a hefty amount, up to $6 for a pair. Normally this is the kind of item where I don't even think about hitting Amazon, figuring that shipping on such a cheap item would way more than offset any meager savings. Boy was I wrong. On a whim one day I decided to check on Amazon.com for LR44's that I needed for one of Neil's toys. I found this: The cost is only $2.25. That's $2.25 for 10, and it includes shipping! You don't have to have a Prime membership or anything, it's simply $2.25 for 10 batteries shipped to your door. It gets even better. Have a device that runs through these batteries fast? Get 50 of these batteries for $4.75 and that still includes shipping. There are a wide variety of button cells available on Amazon.com, all in large quantities for only a few dollars and no cost for shipping. Unless I'm in a big hurry you'll never catch me paying way, way too much locally for these things again.
