Today's pre-train entertainment is a little different than Comic-Con. #sd
At the Quick Draw, this is what Sergio Aragonés drew (in about 3.2
seconds) when presented with "Draw a picture representing the most
traumatic moment from your childhood."
Normally a sketch like this costs $100 or so (which Sergio donates to the Comic Book Legal Defense Fund). But we stood there doing some friendly chatting with Maggie & Valerie Thompson and Sergio for a while, and when I eventually asked if Calvin could get some small sketch for $20 Sergio said, "Of course not! <pause> I do it for free for you. I cannot charge a friend for this!" Sergio is a nice man.
